Turkmen Exports to Uzbekistan Nears $207 Million in Six Months

Uzbekistan imported products worth $206.6 million from Turkmenistan in January-June 2021, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics reported on Wednesday.

The Uzbek statistics committee said the top 10 exporting countries to Uzbekistan during the period are China (over $2.256 billion), Russia (over $2.215 billion), Kazakhstan ($1.312 billion), South Korea ($806 million), Turkey ($718.8 million), Germany ($309.9 million), India ($224 million), Turkmenistan ($206.6 million), Lithuania ($198.2 million) and Ukraine ($194.4 million).

The top ten importers of Uzbek products during the period are China (over $1.029 billion), Turkey ($852.6 million), Russia ($838 million), Kazakhstan ($557.4 million), Afghanistan ($350.5 million), Kyrgyzstan ($347.3 million), Tajikistan ($197.5 million), Canada ($108.9 million), Iran ($104.6 million) and Ukraine ($84.6 million).

In January-June period of this year, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan neared $18 billion. The country’s imports during the period amounted to $10.9 billion, while exports amounted to $7 billion.
