Turkmen Exports to Uzbekistan Top $166 Million in Five Months

Uzbekistan imported products worth $166.7 million from Turkmenistan in January-May 2021, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics reported on Tuesday.

The Uzbek statistics committee said the top 10 exporting countries to Uzbekistan during the period are China (over $1.84 billion), Russia (over $1.74 billion), Kazakhstan ($1.09 billion), South Korea ($685.7 million), Turkey ($600.7 million), Germany ($257 million), India ($192 million), Turkmenistan ($166.7 million), Ukraine ($162.2 million) and Lithuania ($159.1 million).

The top ten importers of Uzbek products during the period are China ($835.4 million), Turkey ($694.1 million), Russia ($658.6 million), Kazakhstan ($442 million), Afghanistan ($296.3 million), Kyrgyzstan ($273 million), Tajikistan ($153.8 million), Canada ($84.8 million), Iran ($81.6 million) and Ukraine ($68.7 million).

In January May 2021, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan amounted to $14.6 billion. The country’s imports during the period amounted to $8.8 billion, while exports amounted to $5.7 billion.
