Turkmen Fruits, Vegetables Exports to Russia Surge 30%

Exports of fruits and vegetables from Turkmenistan to Russia in the first seven months of 2022 increased by 30% compared to the same period of last year, according to the press release issued by the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) on Thursday.

The country that increased exports of fruits and vegetables to Russia the most during the past period was Morocco. Its fruits and vegetables exports to Russia surged 45%.

Other countries that increased the exports of fruits and vegetables to Russia in January-July of 2022 are Kazakhstan (21%), Tajikistan (16%), Uzbekistan (14%) and China (11%).

In the seven-month period, Russia imported a total of 5.1 million tons of fruits and vegetables.
