Turkmen President Appoints New Head of Ýaşlyk Broadcaster

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has appointed a new head of the state-run Ýaşlyk television and radio broadcaster, according to official media reports on Wednesday.

Under a presidential decree, Guvanch Halmuhammedovich Nazarov was named Chairman of the Ýaşlyk Television and Radio Broadcasting Service under the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan.

Yakupgeldi Gurbannyyazovich Kasymov was relieved of his post as Chairman of the same broadcasting service.

Ýaşlyk is one of Turkmenistan’s main state broadcasters, focusing on youth-oriented content, including cultural, educational and entertainment programming.
