Turkmen President Arrives in Kyrgyzstan for Work Visit

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic on Friday on a working visit to participate in the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, official Turkmen media reports.

According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was met at Manas International Airport by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov.

As an associate member of the CIS, Turkmenistan reaffirms its commitment to open and equal communication within the Commonwealth, which aligns with the country's foreign policy priorities. The main focus of this strategy is broad and productive cooperation, both bilaterally and multilaterally, in the framework of authoritative international and regional organisations and structures.

The CIS Council of Heads of State meeting, scheduled for October 13, will also be attended by the Presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
