Turkmen President Extends Condolences to Qatar’s Emir

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent condolences to Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani over the death of his father Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Turkmen state media reported this on Sunday.

On behalf of the people and Government of Turkmenistan, as well as personally, the Head of state expressed deep condolences to Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the entire people of the State of Qatar, conveying words of sincere sympathy.

In his message, the President of Turkmenistan expressed “May Almighty Allah grant Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his family strength and patience at this difficult time. May the soul of the deceased rest in paradise.”

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani served as Emir of the State of Qatar from 1995 to 2013, making a significant contribution to the country’s political and economic development. In 2013, he handed over power to his son, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
