President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during his state visit to Qatar met with executives of leading Qatari companies and investment institutions at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort and Convention Hotel on Monday, the official Turkmen media reported.
According to the report, the meeting aims to attract Qatari investors to Turkmenistan's market.
During the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov informed about favorable investment conditions in Turkmenistan, opportunities for foreign businesses, and major projects being implemented under the socio-economic development programs of Turkmenistan.
The sides stated that there is great potential for establishing regular business relations between the two countries, and Qatari businessmen were invited to participate in investing in projects in tourism, industrial, chemical, construction and agricultural areas.
Heads of a number of leading Qatari companies confirmed the interest of the Qatari business community in doing business in Turkmen market.
Moreover, exposition was expanded to include export-oriented goods marked "Made in Turkmenistan".
Turkmen President arrived in Qatar on Sunday on a state visit. As part of President Berdimuhamedov's state visit, the Turkmen Embassy in Doha is scheduled to open. The corresponding Decree was signed by the Head of Turkmenistan on December 9, 2022.
