The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov and the rector of the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev took part in the opening ceremony of the international show jumping tournament “Sword of the Emir”, which is taking place these days in Doha, reported the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission.
The three-day “Sword of the Emir” equestrian tournament is one of the most significant events in the Qatari national calendar. The main races will be at the main racecourse of the Qatar Equestrian Federation.
Three show jumping competitions will be held here every day - the championship will include stages at different heights of obstacles and dressage. This large-scale event will bring together the best riders and horses from all over the world.
Let us note that show jumping is an Olympic equestrian discipline in which the rider on a horse must overcome an obstacle course in the minimum time and without penalties.
