Turkmenistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman, Mergen Gurdov, met Wednesday in Doha with First Vice-Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari. During the meeting, Gurdov invited Qatari entrepreneurs to visit Turkmenistan and explore available investment opportunities, QNA reported.
The parties discussed expanding cooperation between the chambers of both countries and revitalizing the Qatar-Turkmen Joint Business Council, aimed at strengthening ties between business communities and promoting the private sector’s role in economic cooperation.
Al-Kuwari emphasized that the Qatar Chamber supports expanding private-sector cooperation and encourages the establishment of trade partnerships with Turkmen companies, noting growing interest among Qatari investors in Turkmen investment projects.
Gurdov, in turn, expressed hope for further development of cooperation and the strengthening of business ties between the two countries.
Doha hosted the third meeting of the Turkmen-Qatar Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, on November 2627, 2025. The session included leaders and representatives from several government agencies and business circles from both countries.
