Turkmen President Meets With Russian Prime Minister

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a bilateral meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Ashgabat on Friday. TASS news agency reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mikhail Mishustin conveyed to the Turkmen Leader "the warmest, sincerest words" from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Russian Prime Minister discussed bilateral relations and directions of development in detail during the meeting.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that increasing Russia's trade turnover with Turkmenistan was a priority and that the Russian government would be looking for opportunities to expand trade-economic cooperation with Ashgabat.

The Russian Prime Minister added that more than 400 Russian businesspeople came to the first joint business forum in Ashgabat.

Mishustin also noted that this was his first visit to Turkmenistan as head of the Russian government.

Russian Prime Minister also met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh.
