Turkmen President Orders Salary Payments by Dec. 20

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday instructed Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov to strictly oversee salary payments to employees of all institutions and enterprises, regardless of ownership, ensuring payments are made by Dec. 20, and to submit a report on the work performed, official Turkmen media reported.

Geldimyradov presented macroeconomic indicators for January through November at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting. He said gross domestic product growth for the period reached 6.3%.

Compared with the same period in 2024, total production output increased 10.1%, with positive trends across all sectors. Retail trade turnover rose 13%, while foreign trade turnover grew 9.1%.

State budget revenues for the eleven months reached 100.5% of targets, while expenditures stood at 97.6%. Average wages at large and medium enterprises increased 11.9% year-on-year.

During the reporting period, salaries, pensions, state benefits, and student stipends were fully financed on schedule. Capital investments from all funding sources rose 2.8% compared with last year.

The government meeting also reviewed results of work performed across the country over the eleven months.
