Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Visits Qatar

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid a visit to Qatar on Saturday at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the official Turkmen media reports.

Upon arrival at the Doha International Airport, the Head of Turkmenistan was greeted by State Minister of Qatar State Sheikh Fahd bin Faisal Al-Thani and members of the government delegation of Turkmenistan.

As part of the visit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov became an honored guest at one of the matches of the World Cup in Doha.

At the Khalifa stadium, President Berdimuhamedov held a bilateral meeting with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The meeting discussed the state and prospects of interstate cooperation. The sides also considered the prospects for economic and cultural cooperation, emphasizing the huge potential for interaction and mutual readiness to implement it for the benefit of both countries.

After the meeting, the Turkmen President watched the 1/8 World Cup match between the teams of the Netherlands and the US.

The Head of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov also met with President of the International Football Federation (FIFA) Gianni Infantino.
