A team of referees from Turkmenistan, led by Alibek Sapayev, conducted a friendly match between the Russian “Krasnodar” and the Kazakh “Astana”. The meeting was held at the “Cricket and Sports Hub” stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Together with Sapayev, the match was served as assistants by Palvan Palvanov and Babanazar Haknazarov. The reserve judges were Resul Mammedov and Yusup Jumamuradov.
The game ended with a score of 4:2 in favor of “Astana”.
Earlier, 13 Turkmen FIFA international level referees and 2 instructors, who were among the candidates to officiate matches of the Major League of Turkmenistan in 2024, went to training camps in the UAE. The training camp will last until February 24.
During training and consultations, Turkmen specialists will have the opportunity to referee friendly matches of teams conducting training camps in Abu Dhabi. This will improve their skills.
The training course includes physical training, exercises in the gym, theory and practice of refereeing. All this is of great importance for improving Turkmen referees and ensuring a high level of their training.
