Seydi Oil Refinery (SOR) has the capacity to establish the production of AI-100 gasoline, said Doctor of Technical Sciences Allaberdi Ilyasov, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Tuesday with reference to the CentralAsia.news.
According to Ilyasov, the start of the new gasoline production will significantly transform the qualitative growth of the technological level of the Turkmen oil refining industry.
The unique composition of the AI-100 high-octane fuel will make it possible to fully unleash the potential of modern high-performance engines and increase their efficiency.
“The new products will comply with state and international standards.The creation of a new product is possible on the basis of a large-scale program to modernize oil refining facilities in Turkmenistan.
Calculations have shown that it is possible to obtain the new gasoline type at the SOR if the hydroisomerization process is included in the scheme,” Ilyasov said.
The composition of AI-100 fuel differs significantly in comparison with AI-95 gasoline. The fuel contains an increased amount of high quality deposit control components and a unique multifunctional detergent additive that keeps the fuel system clean.
Since 2019, Turkmenistan has been producing ECO-93 gasoline from natural gas. The use of ECO-93 gasoline reduces harmful emissions of sulfur oxide 50 times, nitrogen oxide 5 times, carbon oxide 2 times, hydrocarbons up to 20%.
