Turkmen-Tajik Trade Rises 17.1% in 2025

Trade between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan reached $43.1 million in 2025, up 17.1% from the previous year, according to the Tajik Ministry of Energy and Water Resources.

The figures were announced March 3 at the 14th session of the Tajik-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, co-chaired by Tajik Deputy Prime Minister Sulaimon Ziyozoda and Turkmen Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallyyev.

Officials discussed trade and economic cooperation, transport, energy and water resources, industry, agriculture, education, healthcare, civil aviation, cultural and humanitarian ties, and youth and sports initiatives.

Both sides expressed confidence in further strengthening the partnership. Signing of the session protocol is scheduled for March 4.
