On 25 May 2018 Deputy Prime Minister Bakhargul Abdyeva presented a draft decision on concluding the agreement with an overseas media company to broadcast international sport competitions on the television channel “Sports”.
The state information agency TDH did not specify what programs were envisaged to be broadcast.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov emphasized that the television channel “Sports” needs to improve the programming taking into account large-scale international competitions which are scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan and approved the presented document.
