Turkmenabat Chemical Plant Produces 270 Thousand Tons of Phosphate Fertilizers

Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after S.A. Niyazov in Turkmenistan’s eastern velayat of Lebap produced more than 270 thousand tons of phosphate mineral fertilizers in 2021.

In monetary terms, output of the plant amounted to 97.9 million manats, the country’s official media reported on Thursday. The plant is also capable of producing more than 500 thousand tons of sulfuring acid.

Simultaneously with the production of fertilizers necessary for agriculture, the plant is carrying out reconstruction works of the workshops and builds new production lines.

The enterprise also produces bleach in its branch in Koytendag. The bleach is mainly used to decontaminate land and buildings.

Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern’s Turkmenabat Chemical Plant, which is one of the country’s largest chemical facilities, employs about 1,400 people and unites 26 production workshops.
