Trades at Turkmen Exchange For October Third Week: $93,9 Million

The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) over the past week amounted to over $93.9 million, the country’s official media reported on Monday.

Representatives of business circles from the United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan purchased polypropylene and liquefied gas of Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern, as well as motor gasoline of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) for foreign currency.

In addition, various types of textile products were sold at the auction at the SCRMET from October 2-7.

For the domestic market, Turkmen businesses purchased polypropylene worth more than 27 million manats.

Last week, 51 deals were registered at the trades of the SCREMET.

Trading operations at the SCREMET in September showed a significant growth compared to previous months. The total amount of deals executed at the exchange was $199.23 million.
