Ambassador of Turkmenistan to France Maksat Charyev met with French film producer Jean-Marie Laronze and actor Edouard Montoute. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic department in Paris.
The meeting was a continuation of the successful participation of Laronze and Montoute in the First International Film Festival “Dawn of Arkadag”, held in the city of Arkadag in October last year, which brought together talented film industry figures from the countries of Central Asia, Europe, Türkiye and Russia.
The guests highly appreciated the level of organization of the “Dawn of Arkadag” festival, and also noted the beauty of Ashgabat, the unique architecture and innovations in the “smart” city of Arkadag.
Jean-Marie Laronze emphasized that a stable and prosperous Turkmenistan could become an ideal platform for meetings and cooperation between film industry figures from Asia and Europe, continuing the traditions of the Great Silk Road.
During the meeting, the prospects for further cooperation in cinema and art between Turkmenistan and France were discussed. The parties expressed their readiness to develop partnerships through the exchange of experience and ideas, which opens up new opportunities for cultural dialogue.
Maksat Charyev expressed confidence that such meetings will help strengthen cultural ties and cooperation in the field of art. The parties agreed to actively develop dialogue and implement joint projects for the prosperity of the film industry and cultural exchange between countries.
