Turkmenistan and Georgia exchanged experience in the human rights field

A delegation of Turkmenistan led by Ombudsman Yazdursun Gurbannazarova made a working visit to Georgia, reports the Turkmen embassy in Tbilisi.

During the visit, was held a bilateral meeting between the authorized representative for human rights in Turkmenistan and the Ombudsman of Georgia Levan Ioseliani.

The parties paid special attention to opportunities for exchanging experiences and increasing the efficiency of the work of national human rights bodies. They discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and plans for the near future.

In addition, the Deputy Office of the Ombudsman of Georgia provided information on the activities of the central agency and its regional divisions.

The Turkmen delegation held bilateral meetings with the heads of the Investigative Service, the Center for Human Rights and other relevant institutions of Georgia.

The meeting participants exchanged views on important areas of protecting and promoting human rights.
