Turkmenistan and Italy strengthen partnership through new cooperation program

During the visit to Rome, the delegation of Turkmenistan led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held negotiations with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.

The parties signed a Cooperation Program between the foreign ministries of the two countries for 20242025, opening up new prospects for the development of bilateral relations.

The heads of foreign affairs departments discussed a wide range of issues related to political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Turkmenistan and Italy. Particular attention was paid to positive interaction within international organizations, in particular the UN.

In addition, the ministers exchanged views on current topics on the international and regional agenda. The meeting demonstrated the desire of both sides to deepen multifaceted cooperation in the spirit of mutual understanding and trust.
