Turkmenistan and Korea develop partnership in the transport sector

The meeting with the participation of the heads and representatives of the “Turkmendemiryollary” Agency of the Transport and Communications Agency of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and the Railway Corporation of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea began on March 28, 2022 and will continue till April 1.

A video of the President of the Republic of Korea Railway Corporation, Na Hee-seung, and a speech by Choi Jungmin, Director of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation preceded the videoconference.

Representatives of the Turkmen side during the meeting noted, the initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan to integrate the main transport flows in the South-North and East-West directions into the country's transport system.

According to the official website of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan, the meeting noted, that the construction of railways Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran, Serhatabat-Turgundi, Kerki-Imamnazar-Akina and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan, and also high-speed roads, airports and seaports play an important role in the effective strengthening of relations between Turkmenistan and other countries of the region.
