President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Odile Renaud-Basso, who arrived in our country on a visit.The meeting discussed the bank's potential participation in the environmental and energy initiatives of Turkmenistan.
During the conversation, the head of state emphasised that Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to diversifying the energy sector and the comprehensive development of clean, green energy.President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the broad prospects for engaging the EBRD in the implementation of new national projects in this area.
Particular attention was paid to issues of the agro-industrial complex and ecology.The head of state highlighted the development of domestic agriculture and the rational use of water resources as key objectives, confirming Turkmenistan's readiness to actively promote cooperation in these areas.
