Turkmenistan Appreciates Activities of Japanese Companies, Says Turkmen Envoy

New Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan Atadurdy Bayramov in a meeting with Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Taro Honda on Tuesday in Tokyo said the activities of Japanese companies in Turkmenistan are of particular importance, the Foreign Ministry of Japan said in its press release.

Turkmenistan is determined to continue economic cooperation with Japan, the Turkmen envoy added.

Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan welcomed the arrival of the new Turkmen Ambassador to Japan and praised the friendly and partnership relations between the two countries, confirmed during a telephone conversation between Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in April this year.

Taro Honda expressed gratitude for the deep friendship expressed by Turkmenistan to Japan for holding a memorial dinner on behalf of President Berdimuhamedov in connection with the death of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Ambassador Bayramov also stated the close relations between the two countries, including high-level state visits, parliamentary exchanges, cooperation in the international arena, interaction within the framework of the Central Asia + Japan dialogue.

The parties agreed on closer cooperation, noting that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
