Turkmenistan Approves 2026 Work and Public Holiday Calendar

Turkmenistan has published its 2026 work calendar, outlining working and public holidays, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

Next year, the workweek will be structured as follows:

Public holidays include:

The workday before a holiday is shortened by one hour. Night shifts are also reduced by one hour and, in continuous production, are considered equivalent to day work.

Average monthly working hours are 166.9 for a 40-hour week and 150.5 for a 36-hour week.

The work calendar is an official schedule showing the number of working, weekend, and public holiday days in each month and year. It accounts for shortened days before holidays and is used to plan enterprise operations, calculate salaries, schedule vacations, and organize production timetables.
