Ashgabat hosted the final of the Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy ("Shining Star of the Year") competition among the country's young vocalists.
According to the results of the competition, Begench Charyev, popularly known as Begojan, became the owner of the Grand Prix and the title "Shining Star of the Year - 2021". He performed a song of his own composition Söýenim ("Beloved") and a song to the verses of the poetess Gozel Shagulyeva. The artist received the challenge Cup Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy.
10 performers entered the final stage of the multi-stage creative competition. Most of all the votes of TV viewers and radio listeners were given for them during the preliminary selection.
Under the terms of the competition, the vocalists performed two songs: with musical accompaniment and a cappella. The performances were evaluated by members of the jury - famous masters of the stage, as well as theatrical figures, composers and poets. Then their votes were added to the results of the audience vote, the “Vatan” news program of Turkmen television reported.
The first, second and third places were taken by Rustem Hallyev, Bahar Annaeva, Bayramhan Saparov, respectively. The organizers presented all the contestants with certificates and souvenirs.
The "Shining Star of the Year" competition has been held since 2009 by the Central Council of the Ma Youth Organization, the Ministry of Culture and the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography.
