Turkmenistan citizens took part in the online Russian language program of an Altai University

The Siberian Center for Open Education in the Russian Language of the Altai State Pedagogical University completed the Russian Language General Education Programme, which was held online. More than 100 students from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan took part in the video courses in order to improve their knowledge of the Russian language.

The Russian Language General Education Programme was conducted in three courses: orthography and punctuation; rules of the modern Russian language, grammar and text.

AltSPU has extensive experience in teaching Russian and has been preparing teachers under the Master’s Program for seven years. The courses were held from November 20 to December 15 on the Moodle Platform. The training included video classes and performing exercises, and the students passed final tests at the end of each course.

Upon completion, the participants received certificates of learning an additional general education programme. The learners who completed online training improved their level of proficiency in the Russian language and, possibly, opened up new opportunities in further education.
