Turkmenistan, Georgia Sign Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agreement

The Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the Parliament of Georgia signed a cooperation agreement Monday in Tbilisi during a meeting between Mejlis Speaker Dunyagozel Gulmanova and her Georgian counterpart Shalva Papuashvili.

According to the Turkmen Embassy in Georgia, the document will serve as a solid foundation for further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation and strengthening of bilateral relations.

The sides emphasized the consistent growth of Turkmen-Georgian cooperation, which spans a wide range of areas of mutual interest.

The officials reviewed legislative initiatives and prospects for joint projects, with particular attention given to improving the work of friendship groups, exchanging experience and strengthening cooperation between relevant committees, as well as creating conditions for regular and constructive dialogue.

The two speakers also expressed their readiness to continue supporting each other's initiatives within international organizations.
