Turkmenistan has set a task to increase oil and gas production volumes

At the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the results of the work of the oil and gas industry in January were discussed, TDH reports.

As Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov reported, plans for oil and gas production and the production of petroleum products were fulfilled in January.

In particular, during the period under review, the plan for oil and gas condensate production was fulfilled at the level of 100.3%. The implementation of the plan for oil refining at the oil refineries of the State Concern "Turkmennebit" amounted to 101.9%.

The Deputy Prime Minister also said that over the past month the plan for the production of gasoline was fulfilled at the level of 101.1%, diesel fuel - 104%, polypropylene - 103.5%, lubricating oils - 114.5%. The growth rate for liquefied gas production was 109.6%.

Summing up, the head of state emphasized the need to increase hydrocarbon production volumes and improve the efficiency of production capacities. He instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to intensify geological exploration and drilling of new wells.
