President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Monday during a working meeting with the heads of the agro-industrial complex gave instructions on the introduction of totalisator betting in order to attract the interest of horse racing fans in the new season.
According to TDH news agency’s report, the Head of State also instructed to carry out work on organizing various equestrian competitions, studying the experience of foreign countries in this area, as well as stimulating young specialists.
Turkmen President added that it is necessary to ensure the proper maintenance of equestrian complexes and their regular repair, increase the profit of these complexes, conduct an analysis to identify additional opportunities and prepare relevant proposals.
In this regard, the Head of State stressed the appropriateness of introducing totalizator betting in horse races using the capabilities of the digital system, given the great interest of the local people in the sport.
This will contribute to an increase in the number of fans of Akhal-Teke horses and an increase in interest in Turkmen equestrian sports abroad, and domestic fans in horse racing, Turkmen President noted and gave relevant instructions in this direction to the officials.
