Turkmenistan invited Austrian companies to participate in oil and gas projects

Turkmenistan made a proposal to the Austrian business community to take part in the development of oil and gas fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea during a meeting of the country's delegation with representatives of the Austrian business community, held at the Economic Chamber of Austria in Vienna, reports the IIC.

At the event, the Turkmen side confirmed its commitment to the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline project for the supply of natural gas to Europe. As the Turkmen delegates noted, a systematic partnership with the European Union has already been built in this area.

Another priority project in which Turkmenistan invites Austrian companies is the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline.

The Turkmen side also expressed its readiness to discuss the supply of Austrian equipment and machinery to increase the capacity and expand the transport infrastructure of Turkmenistan in order to ensure the export of Turkmen energy resources to world markets.
