Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan Discuss Expanding Building Materials Supplies

Turkmenistan’s Minister of Industry and Construction Production, Toyguly Nurov, met with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Industry and Construction, Yersayin Nagaspayev, in Riyadh. The officials discussed opportunities to increase the export and import of building materials produced in their countries, the Turkmen Embassy in Saudi Arabia reported Wednesday.

The talks took place on the sidelines of the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), held in Saudi Arabia from November 23 to 27, 2025.

The two sides focused on expanding industrial cooperation, including metallurgy, mechanical engineering, and building materials production. Turkmenistan presented information on its high-quality cement, its product range and export potential, as well as the operations of the glass manufacturing company Türkmen aýna önümleri.

Astana and Ashgabat also discussed turkmen gas supply routes through Kazakhstan, considering delivery options to China, Iran, and South Asian countries.
