Turkmenistan plans to improve railway infrastructure

The Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan plans to modernize railway transport facilities. The head of the department, M. Chakyyev, reported this at a government meeting, writes TDH.

According to him, the work is being carried out in order to increase efficiency and expand cargo transportation, as well as use the existing potential of the industry.

In particular, at the country's railway stations it is planned to modernize existing and build new infrastructure taking into account environmental protection requirements.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of improving railway transport and instructed to carry out appropriate work in this direction.
