Turkmenistan Prepares for World Equestrian Championship in Netherlands

A briefing dedicated to preparations for the World Equestrian Championship and the Akhal-Teke horse beauty contest, which will be held from Sept. 4 to 6, 2026, at the Pilbergen equestrian complex in Kronenberg, the Netherlands, took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on July 1, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of local and foreign media, attended the event. Participants were provided with information on the progress of preparations for the first international event of its kind to be held in Europe.

During the briefing, planned activities aimed at further strengthening the worldwide fame of Akhal-Teke horses—described as an invaluable heritage and pride of the Turkmen people—were also announced.

According to the report, the event is intended to become an important international occasion, allowing participants to become more familiar with Turkmenistan's unique heritage.
