Trade Arabia reported on 11 January that the meeting between Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Berdyniyaz Myatiyev, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, was held in the United Arab Emirates.
The two sides discussed an array of regional and international issues of common interest and opportunities for cooperation in various areas.
Let us recall that on 20 December President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov met with the UAE delegation headed by Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The state information agency TDH reported that the UAE’s investors have demonstrated interest towards the implementation of the gas pipeline project Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India. The news outlet did not specify, however, the conditions of the UAE’s involvement in the project.
