Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Meets Luxembourg and Belgium Colleagues

Rashid Meredov, Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, held separate bilateral meetings on Monday with Xavier Bettel, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade of Luxembourg, and Hadja Lahbib, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium.

According to Turkmenistan's foreign ministry, during the meeting with Xavier Bettel, Rashid Meredov discussed opportunities to deepen political, diplomatic, and trade-economic cooperation. Regional and international agenda items were also addressed, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the legal framework of interaction.

During the discussion with Hadja Lahbib, the diplomats deliberated on the current level and prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the political and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Both sides expressed readiness to further develop bilateral ties and partnership within international organizations.

They also expressed interest in expanding trade and economic relations.

From March 17th to 19th, 2024, a Turkmen delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov is on a working visit to Belgium.
