Turkmenistan’s Halal Dogan Exports Tomatoes to Vienna

The Halal Dogan Individual Enterprise located in Mary velayat, with the assistance of the Vienna office of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), exported Turkmen tomatoes to Vienna.

The first truck loaded with Turkmen tomatoes arrived at the Vienna wholesale market, the UIET announced on its website on Monday. The products were almost immediately fully sold as soon as they passed all the customs procedures, and were distributed to the stores in Austria.

The Austrian partner of Halal Dogan is Turop Consult. The Austrican plans to continue cooperating with Halal Dogan to increase imports of Turkmen tomatoes to Europe, as demand for this product is forecast to rise significantly.

Last year, the Turkmen businesses exported 37.75 thousand tons of tomatoes to foreign markets, which is 70% more compared to 2019. In two months of this year, the country’s private sector delivered 16 thousand tons of fresh tomatoes to other countries.
