Turkmenistan Signs Documents With Foreign Governments in Transport Field

Turkmenistan on Tuesday signed documents with the governments of several countries to strengthen cooperation in the transport sector during the Ministerial Transport Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries held in the country’s Avaza National Tourist Zone.

At the conference, the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Moldova signed an agreement on international road transport, the official Turkmen media reports.

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Transport of Russia on development of international road transport was also signed within the framework of the international forum.

In addition, the Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Maritime and River Transport) Agency of the Agency for Transport and Communications signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia.

The forum resulted in the adoption of the Final Statement of the Ministerial Transport Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries.
