The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the II Global Forum on Refugee Issues of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, according to the website of the country's State Migration Service.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Migration Service. In his speech, he noted the humanitarian policy of Turkmenistan, pursued under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, work on migration issues and active cooperation with international organizations.
The implementation of activities within the framework of the “National Action Plan to Eliminate Statelessness in Turkmenistan for 2019-2024” was also noted. This demonstrates the country's commitment to its human rights obligations.
