Turkmenistan took part in the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OIC

The delegation of Turkmenistan, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Vepa Hajiyev, took part in the 49th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which ended today in the capital of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Nouakchott, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

The issues of strengthening peace, security and sustainable development in the OIC member countries, as well as enhancing cooperation between states, took an important place on the agenda of the two-day meeting. The delegations also discussed topical issues in politics, economics, science and culture.

As the source notes, on the sidelines of the 49th meeting of the OIC Ministerial Council, V.Hajiyev discussed the development of partnership with the OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha.

During the meeting, the Turkmen delegation shared information on the construction of a new administrative center of the Ahal velayat - the city of Arkadag.During the conversation, it was especially emphasized that the construction of facilities is carried out taking into account environmental standards within the framework of the “smart city” concept.
