Turkmenistan Utilizes 7.8 Billion Manats of Investments in Jan-Apr

The total volume of utilized investments from all sources of financing in January-April 2022 in Turkmenistan amounted to 7.8 billion manats, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said during the online cabinet meeting on Thursday.

The Head of State informed that during this period 492 new economic entities were registered in the country, resulting in the creation of 1,662 new jobs, the country's official media reports.

The state should “develop small and medium-sized businesses, and create a favorable business environment,” President Berdimuhamedov told the cabinet, adding that, “It is necessary to make efforts to improve the investment activity of industries, to conduct fruitful work on a broad attraction of domestic and foreign investments.”

During the meeting, the government members briefed on the activities in their supervised sectors, and on measures to create new jobs.

The government meeting also considered other issues, and adopted a number of documents and necessary decisions aimed at the development of the industries.
