Turkmenistan to Utilize 278.9 Billion Manats of Investments in 2022-2028

More than 278.9 billion manats of investments will be utilized in Turkmenistan in 2022-2028 years, the country’s official media cites President Serdar Berdimuhamedov as saying during his speech at the meeting of the State Council of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat on Friday.

According to the Head of State, a significant part of the State Budget of Turkmenistan in 2022-2028 will be directed toward social spending. The budget funds will also be allocated for the main directions of the social-economic development strategy, to ensure the innovative development of the economy.

"During this period, we will increase salaries by 1.8 times. We will create about 30 thousand additional jobs in all sectors of the economy. We will increase the total area of housing per person by 102.2 percent," President Berdimuhamedov said in his speech.

The President of Turkmenistan added that during this period, 40 pre-school institutions, 54 schools, 4 new higher education institutions, 10 modern hospitals, 7 cultural centers, including more than 500 new production and social facilities will be erected in the country.

The meeting of the State Council reviewed the achievements of Turkmenistan during the years of independence and considered the main directions of further development of the country.
