Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover with Turkmenistan in the first four months of 2021 amounted to $166.9 million, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said in its report published last Thursday.
In January-April period of this year, Uzbekistan imported $130.5 million worth of Turkmen products. At the same time, the country’s exports to Turkmenistan amounted to $36.5 million.
During the period, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached $10.32 billion, which, compared to the same period in 2020, decreased by $378.8 million, or 3.5%.
Over the first four months of this year, the largest volume of Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover was carried out with China over $2.1 billion, with exports amounting to $642 million, and imports near $1.48 billion.
Other main partners of Uzbekistan by trade turnover during the period are Russia (over $1.8 billion), Kazakhstan (over $1.2 billion), Turkey ($956.2 million), Korea ($495.1 million), Kyrgyzstan ($250 million), Afghanistan ($234.6 million), Germany ($201.8 million) and Ukraine ($181.1 million).
In 2020, trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan amounted to $527 million.
