Turkmenistan will adopt the State program of plant protection for 2022-2025

Turkmenistan will adopt the State Plant Protection Program for 20222025.Its corresponding project, prepared in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan “On Plant Protection” in order to reliably protect plants from diseases, pests, weeds and locusts, as well as to improve the work carried out in this direction, was presented today by Vice - Premier Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev at a meeting of the Government.

Within the framework of this program, it is planned to prepare scientifically grounded steps to improve the use of agrotechnical, chemical and biological methods of plant protection, test and register plant protection products.

It is also planned to develop international cooperation, including holding training seminars with foreign partners and international organizations to exchange scientific experience.

In accordance with the draft State Plant Protection Program for 20222025, it is planned to determine an action plan for its implementation.

Noting the relevance of the submitted draft Program, as well as the need for its re-analysis and coordination with the relevant structures, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the Deputy Prime Minister with specific instructions related to seasonal agricultural work, implementation of advanced technologies and scientific achievements, improvement of land fertility, rational use of water resources, according to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
