Turkmenistan will produce fuel for the An-2

The Turkmenbashi oil processing complex has established the production of aviation fuel for the An-2 aircraft. Deputy Prime Minister Shakhym Abdrakhmanov, who is in charge of the fuel and energy complex, reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a meeting of the Government today, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

The high-octane component produced at the plant for obtaining a high-octane additive for automobile fuel from gas has already passed laboratory tests and is certified by Turkmenstandartlary.

Aircraft "An-2" are widely used in agriculture for spraying chemicals and other purposes. Earlier, "Turkmen Airlines" bought fuel for them abroad.

It is planned to complete to ensure domestic fuel aircraft "AN-2", as well as its export to countries in the region.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has approved this work and instructed to continue work on the further diversification of oil and gas sector and an increase in volumes of production of import-substituting products.

Earlier, we reported that TKNPZ first started producing jet fuel brand Jet A-1.
