Turkmenstandartlary Service confirms international accreditation

Specialists of the State Standard Centre of the General State Service Turkmenstandartlary confirmed international accreditation certificate No.K-104, which was issued one year ago.Compliance of Turkmen laboratory with International standard ISO/IEC 17025 has been checked during the first inspection carried out by the experts of Slovakian National Service (the SNAS) in the end of November.

Accuracy of all measurements of temperature parameters has met international level.The inspector gave his appraisal to the work of meteorologists on calibrating of platinum reference thermometers as well as the quality management system of the State Standard Centre.

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 International Standard used by the laboratory allows the meteorologists of the country implementing quality system and guarantees their technical competency and accuracy of the measurements.

Protocols of the tests and calibration certificates are recognized by other countries without further tests.Specialists of the Standard Centre have done huge work to receive international accreditation.

Training of the management and specialists has been carried out for several years together with the experts of the project “Support of Improvement of Technical Regulation and Development of Quality Infrastructure in Turkmenistan” carried out by British Standard Institute, experts of Vilnius Metrological Institute and Metrology Institute of Georgian National Agency for Standards and Metrology.

Supported by their colleagues from Vilnius, Turkmen metrologists made calibration of standardization equipment of the temperature laboratory and inter-laboratory trilateral range comparisons (- 40 - + 30 degrees Celsius).At present, personnel of the State Standard Centre and representatives of German Federal Physics and Technical Institute work on the expansion of the services in this sphere, which are provided using the complex of standards, standard equipment and high-accuracy instruments for 17 measurements.

Laboratories for measuring of mass, force, volume and pressure will be opened for international accreditation under the implementation of the project “Improvement of Quality Infrastructure in Central Asia Countries”.

Implementation of the project is very important for the State.
