Two students from Turkmenistan won the Metropolitan Science Olympiad (Re)Search

Students of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan Nurgeldi Dovletov and Begenchmurat Berdyev won the title of winner and prize-winner of the Open International Olympiad of St. Petersburg State University among students and young specialists of Metropolitan Science (Re)Search in the direction of “Computing technologies (fundamental computer science and information technology)”.

It is noteworthy that only 4 leaders (2 winners and 2 prizewinners) were determined in the “Computing Technologies” nomination, and two of them are from Turkmenistan.

As per “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” publication, in accordance with the results of selection and terminal stages Nurgeldi Dovletov gained a total of 85 points and was declared the winner of the Olympiad. Begenchmurat Berdyev became the winner of the competition, gaining 79 points. Nurgeldi and Begenchmurat are studying in the first year in the direction of “Information security”.

The purpose of the St. Petersburg State University Olympiad is to identify the most talented students and graduates who have the skills and knowledge, the ability to find non-standard solutions to problems in the field of information technology.

Petropolitan Science (Re)Search is held annually, and traditionally students and graduates of 400 universities of Russia and countries of near and far abroad participate in the Olympiad, the source notes.
