UFC has a new lightweight champion

Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Islam Makhachev defeated Brazilian Charles Oliveira at the Ultimate Fighting Championship tournament (UFC 280) in Abu Dhabi (UAE).

In the fight for the UFC title, the Russian won by choke (manual triangle) in the second round.

Islam Makhachev became the new UFC lightweight champion.

During his career, 31 years old Makhachev won 23 victories and suffered 1 defeat. 32 years old Oliveira has 33-9.
