UN Praises Turkmenistan’s Leadership in Promoting Global Dialogue

UN Economic Commission for Europe Executive Secretary Tatiana Molchan praised Turkmenistan’s initiatives to advance global dialogue and international cooperation Friday in Ashgabat during the International Forum on Peace and Trust, according to Turkmen state media.

Molchan highlighted the concept of a “peace architecture,” noting that cooperation in transport, trade and energy creates a network of interdependence among countries.

She also emphasized Turkmenistan’s significant role in water resource management under international conventions, adding that effective water governance is increasingly critical amid growing climate stress.

The forum also featured addresses by the presidents of Armenia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan.
