On 18 May, during celebrations of Constitution Day and Day of Revival, Unity and Poetry by Magtymguly Pyragy in Turkmenistan, the opening ceremony for the bas-relief installed to commemorate a renowned poet and thinker in the street named after him, was held in the capital of Uzbekistan.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as quoted as saying by the state information agency TDH that the park “Ashgabat” is expected to be set up in Tashkent.
The park is designed to become a symbol of friendship and good-neighborly relations between the countries, the capitals of which will be connected by the sister city relationship from now on.
Let us recall that during the first visit of President Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan on 6-7 March this year, the monument to the first visit of Uzbekistan Islam Kairmov was opened in Turkmenabat.
